The Library is Under Attack...Or so it sounds.

The ONE day I wake up early to come to the library to get work done is the day the library is unbelievably distracting. First the power goes out, for some reason that no one can figure out. So about 2/3 of the computers shut down and the lights are blinking and the printers don't work. Then the beeping starts. It's a fun mix of a fire alarm and a burglary alarm. A very constant beep that is irritating to no end. Then on top of the rest the actual fire alarm goes off. So am I to believe that this is what goes on before 9 am? Because I haven't been awake this early in ages, so I wouldn't know. Or is this honestly what happens when we get a little rain at Queens University? No thunder, no lightning, not even heavy winds, just rain. No matter what this is not helping my chances of getting work done because the library itself is more distracting then if I go back to dorm and do my work from my bed periodically checking Facebook. So bed... Here I come. At least I tried to be studious first thing in the morning.

Army Strong

This is a poster for the U.S. Army, this poster is used to help persuade americans to join the armed forces. The message is that joining the U.S. Army will give you strength unlike any other, Army Strength. This strength is not only physical but mental and emotional. The speaker of this argument is the U.S. Army. The audience is the American people. This argument along with many others attempts to persuade people to join the armed forces and be like the people they see in pictures. The people in this particular picture are geared up so they look as if they are on a mission. This shows importance. The helicopters above show other options of the army, perhaps being a pilot or a paratrooper. And the fact that there are two men in the picture rather then one helps send the message that when you are a member of the U.S. Army you are not alone. Many people do not like the U.S. Army promoting to young people as they do in high schools, but I believe that it is a very nobel thing to do for your country.

First Blog

OK, blogging is weird, it's like an online diary.  And if anyone ever read my diary (if I had one) I'd kill them. So this is weird... But if we are blogging then I guess I'll just put a video up :] and to add to the Bruins theme of my video, I'll mention the 7-0 shutout the B's had against the hurricanes on Monday! That was followed by yet ANOTHER win by the B's against Carolina tonight.
